Challenge
To create a yard area that matches the identity of the residential complex. Plant three large-sized trees in specifically chosen places. Ensure a sufficient layer of fertile soil for planting using a raised relief. Create a space for quiet relaxation and communication, and arrange playgrounds for children under the age of six.
Solution
When planning, we observed a pattern formed during water fluctuation. These smooth forms created a natural and harmonious distribution for planting throughout the yard.

Location

Rybalsky district is located on the Rybalsky Peninsula next to the center of Kyiv. The quarterly development of the district lines in dividing the residential quarters with a grid of streets into small sectors with inner yards, which are accessible only to residents and their guests.

Master Plan

Each building has underground two-level parking, which makes the yard completely free from cars. The Yard area is safe and clean for inhabitants.

Initially, we made the maximum landscaping of the space, arranged mounds with green plantations and a large lawn for games. Main social functions were located in the shadow, playgrounds are in the center to provide silence near facades.

The basis of green plantations form birches, which complements the light facades of the building and, thanks to the small leaves, create a delicate shadow. Free plantings of grasses and bushes allow you to interact with nature. For the inhabitants of the apartments on the ground-level floor, which have their own territory with a terrace, a patio is arranged on the yard side.
